On the heels of the beautiful “super blood moon” eclipse on September 27th, take advantage of the brilliant stargazing opportunities in Sedona. Sedona is an international dark sky community – one of only eight such places in the world recognized by the International Dark Sky Association for its excellent stewardship of the night sky.
Enchantment’s location ensures guests will see bright stars, the Milky Way, phases of the moon and much more. The resort’s fully-shielded light fixtures are directed downward toward the walking paths, preserving the night sky for maximum viewing.
Our guided stargazing session is led by a local expert every Tuesday and Saturday, allowing you to peer through a powerful telescope and learn more about the current activity of the planets, moons and stars.
If you’re feeling more adventurous, sign up and experience one of our Full Moon Red Rocks Hikes, a two-hour experience that begins just before sunset to witness the lengthening shadows of the falling sun, followed by the rising moon and the illumination of the red rocks.
